Maybe hairpin legs?

Hair pin legs ! I have them with my Modernica bed, just love them, make sure the duvet cover is off the bed to show off those gorgeous legs with the wooden base.....
Even have a bench with hair pin legs .....
So, the question was for my daughter, who lacks the senses for interior decorating :(......... she finally got around to add a base for her hybrid platform queen size mattress and I almost fainted when she told me she got the so outdated and for box spring intended metal frame with thin leg thing. So I am in the midst of convincing her to get rid of that mess and go for the whole package of a chic, functional bed base with a high headboard (to contrast somewhat the ugly white walls) but she has wooden ceiling beams which I admire and needs to be integrated into the whole scheme of bed room transformation ( please chime in on this one).....I am all for optical enhancement especially vertically to draw the eye upward and add dimensions.

So your daughter is an adult, is that right?

Assuming she actually wants your help, introduce her to Houzz and let her explore different styles on her own, then help her create the one she chooses.

If she isn't open to help, then, maybe you just let it go? :-/

Yes, she is an adult and values my opinion and my passion for interior design quite a bit. I told her all about Houzz etc....
She has an excellent fashion sense, superb actually. But interior design and quality purchases is not on top of her list....so now we tackling this issue ( besides she is a fairly newly wed and that bedroom transformation is way over due :-)

Now, she looks at my pics/suggestions, even detailing now, she likes tufted headboards......., so that is a start.....I do ask a lot of what SHE likes so I can incorporate my carefully my functional and esthetic senses into the transformation.

Example: she had a vanity table with fairly large mirror halfway obstructing a window, to me that is a no no, even anti Feng Shui if one would be into this, so she is coming around on this issue as well......If I could only convince her to visit this site often..so for now, I am doing it for her........Thank you so much

It sounds like you have a good idea of where you want to go with this room. Are you sure you need help?! :-)

Wooden legs would look nice on a bed with tufted headboard, which I think was your original question, right?

Maybe your brand new son-in-law has some ideas, too!!
