Also as in this kitchen I would move away from the beige backsplash and choose a grey pallet or a complimentary shade close to your countertop
I think once you have the dining table painted, the tiles done and a new light fixture you will be able to choose a rug and drapery that goes well with that black and wood combination. You could also paint your pantry black to match the chairs and table.
