Have you sat in the actual sofa it is one of those things that I do not buy online

Yes, I sat on the Ethan Allen sofa in the store and loved it. However I've read that the company now outsources everything to Mexico and that the sofa you receive is a far cry from what you sat on in the store. So I was just curious to see if anyone had good experiences with Ethan Allan.

I agree with Lynzi, The Emerson sofa is a very comfortable piece and sure you will get good use from it.

I have ordered my Arcata sectional sofa with Quick Ship label and have not got it delivered after two months. It is indeed not a QUICK ship.

Quick Ship used to be within a 30 day period. However, with Covid we’ve had to extend lead times to 5 to 7 weeks. Your designer should have notified you of the delays. So sorry you’re experiencing delays in your delivery of your sofa but if you contact your designer, she can give you an idea of the ETA.

I ordered two quick ship Arcata sofas in early August, and they arrived in three weeks. If you go to their web site, you can see an ETA if you have the order number.

I placed my quick ship order for Arcata sectional on July 15, and still not heard any delivery message yet. The ETA on the website is July 15. I am not sure the reason. I contact designer and local delivery center, the response is always sorry and wait, no target date committed.

It’s strange that they have the ETA on the same day you placed the order. I checked on another piece I ordered, and it says “This item is scheduled to ship on: 10/12/2.“. Do you not have any scheduled date? I’m stumped. Maybe call their main number 888.324.3571.

Thanks for your reply. My order says "Estimated shipment date to your local service center is : 07/15/20". I have contacted 888.324.3571 but every time I need to wait more than 30 mins but still cannot contact any person, only the automatic ringtones. Currently I cannot say anything about Ethan Allen quality, but I am very disappointed with their customer service.

Same here, I ordered sofa, chair and ottomans back in November 2020 at San Jose design center. I am being told that the order will be delivered sometime in April. Unbelievable!

I was planning on ordering from Ethan Allen but decided on Room and Board instead. Estimated shipment dates for R&B were also changed on me several times with 1-2 months later than expected ship dates which were already at least 6-8weeks out because items were customized.

@Van Pham did you order from SF R&B store? I haven't visited them yet, how is it?

@Tariq Mustafa I actually visited the R&B Costa Mesa store since I’m in Southern California and the folks were helpful and patient while I checked out their products. You can even take very large swatches home to see if fabric/patterns work (small deposit fee which is returned once swatches are returned; no fee for small sample swatche’s . I didn’t even buy anything at the store the times I went. I did however set up an account with an associate there. Eventually ordered everything online under my account. I actually visited all different furniture stores such as at least 3 times (Excessive but wanted to make sure). The store is much smaller than an Ethan Allen store but I found everything I needed (beds, sofas, chairs, dining table, kitchen table, etc) since I wanted modern and cohesive look. I also found that they really took care of any issues I had or if something didn’t work out, I was able to exchange or return items at no cost, even custom. That really helps since sometimes even after measuring or choosing colors, you may not like it in the end. Best of luck on your furniture hunt!
