Are you keeping the white appliances? What budget are you working with? What material were you considering for counter tops?

I would spend some of that budget reorganizing the cabinets you have to better handle storage problems . As for the rest having cabinets painted by a pro will be expensive , I would suggest you get on you- tube and learn how to paint cabinets like a pro to save big $$$ as for counters this will depend on who paints the cabinets whether the counters will be solid surface or laminate , as for color palette it would be helpful to know what the rest of your place is like so maybe post a few pics. The floor looks like it has a bit of gray maybe a close up of it would also help

Congratulations on your new little one! The color on your walls in your second pic looks like it could work well as a cabinet color. It seems to match well with your floors. Maybe just a shade lighter but in that same color family. 10K is a pretty nice budget for a refresh. One thing that jumped out at me right away was the dishwasher location. I would consider rearranging a few cabinets if possible and move the dishwasher to the left of the sink. It seems it would be awfully awkward to load it in its present location.

I agree with Kat and would look into moving the dishwasher to the left of the sink. I would also build a proper fridge enclosure so you can access the cabinets around the fridge.
