What did you end up with? I ordered (after a long search) Vicostone Misterio, like you haven't seen a lot of pictures. If you chose Misterio, what are your thoughts? Mine come this Friday.

I think your kitchen looks great! Your post (& pictures!) helped me a lot because I also have white cabinetry and am leaning towards Misterio and hadn't heard about Minuet so that gives me another option to look into- also love the backsplash! Do you mind sharing the dimensions of your island?

Hoping someone can comment if the veining in Misterio is gray, or if it has hints of brown? Also is the white very white, or speckley? Also, do the veins have much depth?

Generally, the feedback from Misterio we get is that it is a white white and not speckley. The veins go all the way through the body of the slab. That gives them a depth perspective that's really cool. You'll be able to see the veins in the edge profile you pick for your countertop.

The color of the veins is a warm gray, so depending on your lighting, you may see some brown hints but it is mostly gray. We hope this helps!

Vicostone, thanks, i did see a sample but the sample i saw showed very little veining, and i didn't pay much attention to it at the time so unfortunately i can't remember about the white. I will likely go back and look at it.

Vicostone, how would you describe Venatino?

Does anyone have it and can post some photos?

For your perimeter countertops, there are several designs that could potentially work depending on how solid or how patterned you'd like it. Below are some that I personally think would go.

I have Vicostone Misterio in both of my upstairs bathrooms. It is beautiful, but I'm disappointed at how easily water leaves etched water spots and rings. I wipe up regularly and clean with a quartz-safe product. It still does not remove the rings. They seems permanent--more like how marble reacts. I have soft city water--not well water and no need for a house water softener. I treat my quartz very carefully, but the spots still appear (and don't disappear). I wipe up the surface each time, but sometimes other users do not, so I think the time water sits on it matters. I will no longer be considering this brand--or perhaps even quartz at all--for my kitchen remodel. The white color hides the rings and spots well, but it still bugs me that they don't rub out when I discover them during cleaning or just in between cleaning when using the counters.

Most messes on your Vicostone are easily wiped up with dish soap and plenty of warm water. Tougher messes can removed with specialty cleaners like the Weiman Quartz Clean & Shine, Granite Gold Quartz Brite® or Vicostone Cleanser.

@Vicostone -- if I like the look of Misterio but am looking for some less expensive options, what other styles should I consider? This is for a relatively small bathroom so I don't want anything too busy or dramatic but also not totally plain.

@smithkm1973 we suggest considering the following quartz colors: Denali, Ventisca, Valley White and Onyx White. Based on your cabinets and tile, we would recommend Denali as a balanced addition to your palette. We hope you are well!

Thank you for the info on the thickness. I checked on link you provided for a regional distributor. There are none near me. The reason I was asking about Viscostone is because It was offered to me as a quartz choice (as Pental) at the shop that will most likely be making my countertops. Is it ok that they as not listed as a distributor on the Viscostone list or should I only have it installed by one of the distributors on this list?

Is Pompeii quartz also Uber Pental surfaces? I’m very interested in volakano but having trouble finding installation pics online. Someone posted pics of their kitchen using Pompeii quartz and it looked just like volakano. It’s a very unique color/pattern so it was to see how similar they were.

An you describe the coloring in volakano? In some pics in looks more gray. Is there beige as well?

Hi @Hbg28! Volakano has a white background with warm gray directional veins that have a small amount of amber accents. The stone can look more beige or gray depending on the lighting for your project, but it is not a pure gray look. Vicostone, i just got pompeii pure white installed in my kitchen and powder room. It will be in both upper baths as well. Is there a disinfectant spray that is safe for cleaning in the kitchen after we use chicken? Also will face products like aha acids hurt the counters? Or panoxyl? Is it safe to have my coffee maker on the counter or should i get a little tray. Lol i want to keep it nice.
