That stinks that Atwood's won't deliver. I want a cattle panel too, but I have no way to get it home.

Atwoods caters to small farmers and ranchers who have their own trucks. Tractor Supply has cattle panels, like Atwoods they cater to farmers and ranchers. Don't know if they would deliver. Home Depot has them and they will ship it to you. Lowes says delivery for them is unavailable and they're at least $8 more than everybody else.

Amy, I am seriously thinking about asking one of these "pickup" drivers to carry a couple of those panels home for me. I live less than one mile from Atwoods, on the back streets. $20- 40. Is that too low?

Y'all need to make friends with folks near you who own pickup trucks! Or, pickup trucks and flat bed trailers.

You also can buy rolls of galvanized field fencing, which are easier to carry home (if the rolls are small enough to fit into your vehicle. I use field field fencing for all kinds of projects that other folks buy cattle panels for. It is easier to transport (and we do have a pickup), easier to store away in a corner of the garage, and can be cut to whatever length you need for whatever sort of arch, trellis or cage you want to build. All you need is a good wire-cutter. I use one made specifically to cut fencing.

The field fencing comes in different sizes and weights---some of the really lightweight ones made of thinner wire are not necessarily heavy enough for arches but can be used for cages or trellises. The heavier weight ones (harder to cut) make great arches. You can buy smaller rolls of 50' or less, or larger rolls of 300'. It is a bigger cash outlay at once than buying a single cattle panel, but you then have more product to use too.
