Dave, I would rather have several robust, fabulous plants, PLUS lots of plants, leaver propagating and lots of plantlets, whether robust or not. I give some away to the rummage sale, and this spring I will only have a jade plant that I can give away. The african violets are small, some only have four or less leaves and I have not seen their blossoms. They will be staying home at least until the fall.

That is my vote.

Me too. I'm tired of non-bloomers and seldom bloomers crying for care .

I like so many different colors and types of av blooms, that I'd want a bunch of different ones.

I'm with Hibiscus - I like the variety. I enjoy the growing from a new leaf, seeing the first blooms of an AV I've never seen before. If I only had a few old plants to tend, no matter how show perfect they were, I think I would be bored to death.

That said, I will say that I'm getting better at letting go the older plants that no longer delight me so I have room for the new. I'm not quite up to filling every "space and cavity" around my house yet. ;-)

I would take lots & lots of Charitas in a hot minute.

Considering I have easily 3,000 plants here in my art studio alone... But that said, I also have two shelving racks that are just for my personal stock plants to give them plenty of room so I may enjoy them. Have my cake /and/ eat it too. But if I /had/ to choose only one or the other, I'd choose fewer and grow them well. That's a whole lot less work and still enjoy.
