So I've never posted but been here many times for knowledge. I live in Lufkin TX (8a) and a few weeks ago we had temps dip into the very low teens two mornings in a row (14° and 12°). Unusual for this area but not unheard of. I decided to tell about the results. I've got pics of all but there really isn't much to see as they all look like dead trees in the photos. All of the trees were covered with plastic sheeting during the cold snap with a few getting water buckets for extra help. All trees are 4 to 5 years old and none have protection from a house or wall.

Owari and Miho satsumas look bad with very little but some green left in the branches.

Seto and Brown Select look better with green limbs, green buds, and even a leaf or two.

Okitsu took it well with about 50% leaf loss

Arctic Frost was mostly unphased.

Rio Red grapefruit looks dead

Meiwa kumquat looks bad but I forgot to cover it. (I never have before and it was always fine)

Sunburst and Dancy Mandarin look close to dead as well.

Page Mandarin oddly took it well and is already leafing back out

Orlando tangelo had cover and a bucket of water, still has a few leaves left with mostly green branches.

Hamlin orange had cover and a bucket looks very rough with very little green throughout.

Seedless Kishu had a tarped box structure around it but only has one green limb left.

Moro Blood and Pineapple orange had structures with lighting inside and both trees are unphased along with the fruit that was still hanging.

Sorry for the long post but maybe the info will help someone else out one day. I plan to give a survival report in the spring.
