i would simply trim the smallest pencil-lead(?) sized roots and then 'plant it up' like you were describing. nice tree.. I like those 3-4 finger sized roots at the bottom of the pix and would leave those. Again, very nice … where are you, can you add your zone to your moniker ...

Thank you, I'm in zone 9- Central Florida. I'll do the trimming later this morning and post pictures of the final product.

Are you speaking of the last photo shown. It does not look to be the same plant as pictured in the Second to last photo? Last one does not need any root pruning. Second to last one, you could, but you might be better to train the small pencil thick roots on the side in a direction to grow larger and give balance to the future plant.

The first two pictures are adeniums in their new pots. Which direction would you go with the middle pictures roots? I thought of using bonsai wire to train them away from each other around the main trunk

Got the roots trimmed up. Plant root system looks much cleaner now. (my winter plant blankets still out as you can see)

Waiting patiently, Jairo. Do I see an ever so slight tinge of rose on those buds? I don't normally like yellow anything, but the yellow/pink contrast as a member of the garden is growing on me. This triple should be presenting its first blooms in the summer ... I have three grown from seed:

Very nice! yes my 'yellow fantasy' appears to have some rosy red in it. Its exciting waiting to see what it will look like!

Jairo,I Iive in Central Florida,Deltona, where or what is the name of the place you got your Yellow Fantasy from. There is a place on OBT in front of the Decco Gallery emergent or something like that. they have some older interesting DRs but not a big Variety. He said he would be getting somemore in April. Thanks for any places that sell the DRs in Central Florida area, right now Walmart has some.

Hi Ray, I too am in deltona. Yes I got this one from Jim at deco fine pottery on 441 near 429, Jim owns and operates the plants outside. Hes very knowledgeable, I def. Can't wait to go back and browse his selection. I saw his older DR's. Very interesting indeed.

I noticed the orange city walmart has gotten their DR's in, but waiting on lowes and home Depot have nicer varieties, white and red.

LOL Jairo, to think I've discussed with people halfway around the world and here we live in the same neighborhood! It's a small world after all! Yes I got my first DR from Lowe's in Deltona in October, planted my first seeds in late December. I'll probably go back to Jim's in late March or early April. He said he was getting some from Thailand then.

Ray I'm originally from miami, it's amazing how many people I've met and gone to school with live in deltona. Sooner or later we all end up here lol. I visit homestead often , but haven't found a good dr source there yet. It's a shame with all the nurseries.

There were a couple that were supposed to be in Miami maybe Costas farms? Oh first Hi again Jairo, I bought and received very nice, I'm guessing they would be considered seedlings still, seedling from Out of Africa located in Naples FL. Received in two days after buying, packaged very well in two and a half inch containers, talk about instant gratification! I'll post a picture of them, they are all Arabicums which are my favorite, the Obesum a very close second. My hand sown seedlings will be a source of great pride when they bloom and their beautiful flowers are revealed! I'm thinking very positive! I do enjoy every aspect of growing them except for the waiting! But it gives me time to do research and get into trouble(purchasing more bigger plants each being the last swearing no mas! LOL).But I'm glad I'm not the only one who has caught the DR bug! Today is beautiful, even though the forecast called for rain, 80 and sunny! All got to go outside, I work night shift!

Hope I do better growing them than my lawn!

The soil in my part if deltona is difficult to grow anyrhing but Sands spurs in. I'm spoiled from homestead, where everything grows and we'll without the aid of any fertilizer.
