What can I do here?

We just moved into a newly built house. There is this small awkward space between the stairs going up and the stairs down to the basement. It measures 14" x 62.5" from baseboard to baseboard. Does anyone have a brilliant suggestion for what to put here?

I'd put a long skinny planter with some bamboo, maybe black bamboo as it would go well with your railings! It would grow pretty high.

Yes, I stupidly believed Houzz when it said "can't add this post". Unfortunately I didn't notice it in time to delete one.

I think I would leave it alone just place a piece of art work on that wall? I think if you try to put vase or planters, it will look squashed in there. Keep it simple.
