You can use anywhere from a miniature bulb to the regular size. It depends on what type of socket you will use. From the smallest part of the sconce, there's approximately 3-4 inch space so there's plenty of room for a regular size bulb.

Wattage is a personal preference, depends on how much light you want to project but we recommend from 40 to 100 watt bulb.
