Logees order - Buddha's hand and drosera

I received the little guys today! All looked well and healthy. I am going to repot them in the coming days. Both buddhas hand trees are rooted cuttings and it appears that I got two variegated in the container. It appears to me to have two small trees - one actually has a bud although I know it will not grow the fruit. When I repot, I will separate them very carefully. As for the fly-eating plant...I got distilled water and am collecting some rain for it tonight. I hope it enjoys its new home and eats lots of fungus gnats ;-)

Laura, I am surprised they shipped your plants because it has been below freezing in New England lately. I hope your plants do not show freeze damage later on. I ordered some trees from them a few days ago and they are holding off shipping because of the weather. Can't wait to get them. I know they are small and expensive but I need a new citrus fix now!!! Can't wait for the likes of Four Winds to start shipping.

Thanks guys. Vladimir, I called them and spoke about that very issue. I think they shipped them out on Monday and they arrived here today when it was 75! My kids were in shorts yesterday. I hope they will be ok...they look very healthy. You guys agree that there are two variegated right? What did you order Vladimir?

Those are nice looking cuttings Laura. Looks like they will be easy to separate too.

Laura, your trees will be fine.

I ordered a limequat, changshou kumquat and a variegated calamondin. Mike and I both are getting hit with the same snow storm. Yesterday was a horrendous drive to work because the were roads covered with black ice. Accidents every where. Took me two hours instead of one to get there. Then the sun came out and the temps climbed to 50F.

Vladimir those sound like great choices! Mike and Vlad, I feel your pain...no snow for us today, but it is COLD and windy! The trees look happy today, so I suspect they are fine - by one day we missed the arctic weather while in transit. Brian, I don't know how you do it!!

Cory, you guys are getting hit hard today. My in laws are in NYC and they already have 6"!

We have close to a foot Laura. You are lucky it missed you. I am taking my third break before I go out again. Had to dig out to the greenhouse to make sure the air vents were not blocked or the gas furnaces would go out. It was very dark in there with the snow on the roof. I couldn't see what the ladybugs were doing. I'll go out later when the lights come on.

75 degrees in Maryland! Oh, how I miss the weather there. And the spring cherry blossoms in D.C are such a lovely sight to see!!

We had a cold front and a snowstorm hit us over the last few days.. Along with freezing rain..Roads were slick..That windchill seeps right into my bones.

Laura, those are some nice looking cuttings. Hopefully you can separate them with no problems. You have the right touch, so they will probably do just fine.. :)

Hi Laura beautiful cuttings honestly I didn't know buddhas hand came variegated very cool I am so looking forward to see the variegated fruit .

Cory poor you I hope that your not trying to shovel all that snow that's for young people trying to make a few bucks . I hate when the snow sticks to the roof of the Greenhouse makes it so dark inside. I hope that the storm is all finished. I heard that you and Mikey might be in for another storm Monday lovely . Love that you placed bugs in your greenhouse go lady bugs go . I hope to see a couple of pics of the storm from you and Mikey.

    Stay warm everyone.

Nice looking trees Laura, they have found a great home with you and I'm sure they'll flourish with your care. I feel for you guys on the East coast and up North. It was a brisk 85 here in the desert today without a cloud in the sky. Soon I'll be complaining about the 110 degree weather while you guys get to bask in the nice perfect 80 degree weather....summer is coming.

I am not looking forward to summer heat but this weather has been nice lately. San Diego was similar to Evans weather today and was really nice. Listening to everyone talk about snow makes me appreciate again how easy we have it here. :)
