Kitchen Exterior Blower - Sound Dampening

Exploring our kitchen venting options for new construction. I'm particular about overly noisy appliances, so an exterior blower solution seems to be a good fit.

The unit will most likely be wall mounted, because there is currently no chase accounted for to duct up through the second floor.

My concern is that having the blower just on the other side of the exterior wall, there won't be enough distance and sound dampening (read drywall, insulation, etc) between it and us to reduce the noise output.

Of you that own an exterior blower, where is it located in relation to the hood and how much quieter does it sound compared to standing outside next to the operating unit?
