We are remodeling our house and have cut a doorway from our living Room into our bedroom which creates a little alcove. My dilemma is that the living Room has existing wood floors that we don't know the name of floor and we have not been able to match perfectly but somewhat close. The bedroom floor will be carpet and don't really want carpet in the alcove because of traffic pattern. What do I do?
