Drain does not appear to be same as in the Truguard installation vdeo

The linear drain showed in the video does not look like the Tru-line linear drain being sold on the Truguard site. The Tru-line drain on the site has a flange which I cannot determine if it separate from the main body of the drain and if it sits on the waterproof layer to allow weep water into the drain per the video. The site does not show a disassembled diagram of the drain.

Hi Runman49,

I can assure you that they are exactly the same drain. I filmed the linear drain installation video. The flange is part of the drain body and is not removable as the drain body is 1 solid piece.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry, now I see that there is a flange. I am using a single slope mortar bed design so does the flange sit on the waterproof membrane layer and underneath the thinset/tile layer. And then the top of the grate is adjusted just below the top of tile? Thanks!
