Rains have stopped so I went out to work in the yard. Some branches on my Anna apple tree have turned black, possibly fireblight, but more of interest are these white things growing on the dying branches! Are they mushrooms or something else? They look like they belong in the ocean. I am cutting off all the 'infected' branches. Thanks.
