I grow Fittonias so wanted to help, but will NOT go to sites advertising or adjacent to porn sites. (I had to disable my ad blockler to see your pix). Will not go back again, especially since I just looked from WORK!!!

MG you're using likely has wetting agents in it, I wouldn't want that in a terrarium.

I used to grow this Fittonia in a Terrarium. Currently grow the larger leafed red veined one.

Now, as to the mini, pale leaves, I've never seen that before. The leaves almost look bleached like too much sun. Did you increase the amount of light or place it in some direct sun?

I said above I would not want mix w/ wetting agents for this, certainly not in a terrarium, it may make things too wet.

That said, I can see that the older, larger growth is fine, neither too wet, nor too dry; perplexing.

Does that MG mix also contain fertilizer? Are you fertilizing yourself?

Beyond your responses, let's give this a few days for others to chime in. I don't see many Fittonia threads, so lets DO wait a couple of days & give folks a chance to see it.

The fittonia seems to be doing the same, still growing leaves that are completely white. I've tried reducing the amount of light it gets (which is indirect anyway). And yes, I believe the MG mix does contain slow release fertilizer itself. I don't remember if I added my own but I don't think so... do they require any special kind of fertilizer? Are they super sensitive to fertilizer burn?

I checked for root rot since I have it in a terrarium but no, it's actually growing new fleshy white roots, which today I saw growing out the bottom of the pot.

A complete mystery. But the albino leaves are actually growing on me...

I'm having the exact same problem with mine! I've tried everything! I first thought it was getting too much light put it in a more shady area but it still kept growing the same. I then put it in more light thinking maybe it needed more, I put it in a bigger pot and changed its soil, but it's still the same, even changed the temperature of the place it's in. They do seem to get more greener the bigger they grow but some of then still stay pretty white, it's puzzling to me!😂
