i love the brass, but the black goes better w/everything you have.

With the stained/glazed color of your wood cabinet doors, and the other black elements in your room, I think black would be best. Your cabinets are quite traditional and the long gold or silver look more modern, so the black would walk the line between the two styles better I believe.
