Accent wall colour suggestions?

I have dark floor, and dark furniture... Am looking to paint the wall behind my bed. Any ideas for this accent wall?

Hi fvallani. I think a mixture of wide and narrow horizontal stripes here would look great - http://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/82284/list/Horizontal-Stripes---Bold--Beautiful-and-Easier-Than-You-Think. You could pick out colors from the bedspread, or pick out one color from the bedspread and include the existing wall color, a color that is a few shades darker, and a white for a more subtle effect.

Thank you. Great suggestion. Would you just paint the headboard wall, or the two others beside it as well?

I also really like the idea of a stenciled accent wall! Check out Royal Design Studios online. They have everything from organic patterns to geometric.

I suggest changing the bedspread to a lighter/creamy color to brighten up the area.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I will post a photo once it is complete. If anyone has any cheap art solutions, please let me know. This is my first place and looking to spend less than 100 on an art piece. Bed spread is a white with a greyish stripe - this bed is going to be removed.

Depends on bedding and art decor.
Sage green is always soothing and can easily fit into many color schemes with minor accent pillows, or artwork.

Orange spice, not to be confused with old spice ;), gives a bold exciting feel that shows well with white trim, bedding, and grey walls.

Depends on your personality.....find rooms on here you like, and make it your own.
