The rooms look beautiful, you just need to accessorize.

I'd definitely add a rug to the living area to pull it all together. I would also add some nice floor lamps or tables with table lamps for additional light.

I agree that you have a beautiful room. I love the entertainment center but I have to say that it needs to be either hung on the wall to "float" or it needs to have "feet".

Keitha, that's a good suggestion. I like the idea of it floating as already there are many feet showing. Add a great rug wider than the media, so the front feet of both sofas rest on it. A simple style nothing too fancy would be best.

Ritabanita, here are some quick renderings to show you what impact carpet, accessories and rugs can have on your space. These are not what I'm recommending, they are just for visual purposes. Your rug should be large enough that your furniture sits on it. I've raised the console on legs. Panels would look nice in a print that compliments the print you select for your rug and the printed chair. I would take them to the corners one each side.

you could paint an area around the TV and add some wall sconces on either side to make the TV recede into the background and not be such a prominent fixture on the wall.


You should research some local decorators or designers to find out some rates and then do your research and arrange for a final consultation to ensure that what you are choosing is the correct scale, pattern, colour etc. before you make any major purchases.

The back of the cabinet would have to be sturdy enough to support it being hung on the wall. Is it do you know? If so it can be done.

You can make cabinets appear as though they are floating by adding a strip of mirror on the bottom as well. Depending on the weight of the unit and what you sore inside and the type of wall you have got, it might be tricky to hang it.
You definitely need a rug and a coffee table. Love what you have done so far...great kitchen and Capiz chandelier! I will look for some inspiration for you...

Good idea about the mirrors mveasey! If a recessed base was constructed that might just work!

Your tv is floating in space, needs more or higher storage so that it's intentionally connected to unit below. Bring book shelves up empty wall on both sides and close up the expanse of white wall, paint would work if too expensive to furnish right now.

I found a great look on West Elm, similar couch colors as well, love all about the photo, hope you do as well. I would perhaps do a few frames around the TV with either some photos or prints (www.society6.com has some great reasonable ones), but keep the colors harmonious and not too crazy, pops but not all out, if that makes sense.
Your dining room would look great and soft with upholstered chairs, but you could do a bench or two with pillows and chairs at the end as well.
I love these hexagon tables as coffee table, you can take them apart when needed and reference your kitchen as well.
Sorry this is all from one place. One usually should not get everything from one place, but this gives you an idea.
One last thing, if possible I would not have the couches touching the console, give it a little more room to " breathe" if that is possible.

Carolyn C, thanks for the images! What a difference a good size rug will make. I plan on adding an over sized art piece to the right of the tv, adding height and color to the wall. Possibly, a large plant as well. Would I have to balance out the space by adding an additional height to the right of the tv such as open shelving? Mveasey! Ill move the sofas out a bit! Great tip! If you have an open concept, I prefer a bit higher chairs, to give the table some intimacy, but everything is personal in the home.Ikea makes some great square ish, lower chairs, I think they are called Nils. Bemz makes special slipcovers for Ikea products, if you want to check that out...something like this...
