You might do better posting this on the Vegetable Gardening or Hot Peppers forum. There are literally 100's of different types of peppers and the folks that focus on these plants may be able to ID quickly.

Doing a bit of a taste test (assuming you like hot peppers) to see how hot it actually is might help narrow things down as well. I've found that each kind of pepper has a characteristic wall thickness so slicing one might help also.
