Thank you! Should I trim at the bottom of larger flower stem (has multiple smaller branches with dead flowers), or just at the bottom of the smaller individual flower stems where they meet the larger stem? This is hard to explain clearly, because I don't have the right vocabulary!

I've looked up some terms, so am going to go back and edit my post with so it will be clearer.

Pinch off flower stem as close to base of plant as possible. It will create new stems with flowers at the tips so you're not hurting anything by removing the spent flower stems.

With practice, you can snap dead flower stalks and leaves directly from the main stalk of the plant.

Simply grab the stalk to remove with a finger on each side, ... and bend the stalk to the right and left, ... sometimes up and down, ... and the stalk should snap off. Be careful, so that you don't snap off surrounding leaves or blooms while you are attempting this.

I will typically snip off dead blossoms until the final bloom on a stalk has faded, ... then I just snap off the whole bloom-stalk.
