Another pic

I just googled gallery walls and looked at everyone else's images and you did a really good job, particularly if it is your first try.

I like the brightness of the matt of the first picture best, but feel like some of the other things fade out a little.

The name letters themselves disappear and the house is such a cute shape, but it almost disappears against the paint color, too.

Honestly, it is a good job. Just not enough contrast with the wall color.

Yep...I think it looks nice. Are you planning to paint the wallls? You could paint the letters the robin's egg blue in your art for more pop. But seriously...perfection is never achieved if sanity is to be maintained! I realized with my own gallery wall that the K and oval sillhouettes spell "koo"...but I decided that's just another inside joke to add to the comedy that is my life, lol! Great job!!!

You did a great job! I would paint the letters the blue/green that is in the largest picture with the pink matte.

Great job! I don't think you can go wrong with a gallery wall. I did mine a little "off center" since the wall was at an angle up a flight of stairs.

Good job and leave it. In a year or two it all will change. You have a good eye.

Mary, I think it might be a tad high over the bed? Should it be lowered, hard to tell?

Monochromatic styles work best in gallery walls. Choose a single color or a single shape and stick with it.

It is lovely. Put a little double stick tape at each picture frame top corner of the crooked frames. It will help to keep them even. What might be bothering your "eye," is the placement of the furniture on this wall doesn't work as part of the composition. Is it possible to center the white dresser or the bed under this art grouping?

It's hard to see from the photos but it is already painted a light blue. The frames are definitely too high but I won't be changing them as It took me so much work to get them up in the first place!!!
I'm going to play around and paint
one or two of the frames and update the photos. I also need to paint the bed frame.
As for your suggestion Susan Berry of the sticky tape, what a simple but wonderful idea and one I had never thought of. Doh!
Again thanks to all of you for your input. It has definitely given me confidence to make some more 'mistakes'!

Mary- I love your interpretation of a gallery wall, fit for a girl. For a bedroom of a young person, I'm not too hung up on different colors of the frames, since they all "fit".

Whatever you do next, please- get the highest resolution digital camera you can, and snap the best shot you can. Keep the original, so you can make it in any size possible. In a strange 'twist", this pic could, in a uniformly framed gallery wall, be really cool. Or one day, your daughter is 13 and wants a nice reminder of her baby-hood. OR- she becomes a mother, herself, one day, and hangs it in her daughter's room. No matter what, she'll always be reminded of her mom.

BTW: Double sided tape does wonders for making pics "stay". My husband uses also uses velcro on heavier pieces. "Stay, picture, stay!"!
