I like #2, #3, and #4 from the left. They all look good with both the wall and the fireplace surround. #4 might be too dark for the bedrooms, but then bedrooms can be dark for easier sleeping :) Darker will show more lint, etc too. So I'd choose either #2 or #3.

I would ask the carpet company to get you 12 x 12 samples of the two you like the best. That will give you a much better idea of what it will look like when you have a whole room of it. Believe me, these little samples are not sufficient to get that picture. They should provide them easily. They might charge you a small fee, worth it to help make sure. Trying larger pieces in your light with your wall colors etc., very worthwhile.

Agree as Flo stated. Decorate in haste...................REPENT at leisure.
