Anywhere from six months (pretty rare) to a few years. Maybe one or two years under ideal conditions is normal, but most people can't provide ideal conditions, so it can take longer, like 3+ years.

Depends in a lot of factors like the season, the genetics of the plant, the size of the plant, its health, and the nutrition in the soil. There is no hard date in when it will bloom

For me i have seen mosr flower firstime between 1.5yrs to 3yrs

My best record is 6 months. My worst is....well, 4 years and counting. And all my plants are grown hard.

I have one that's on it's third bloom in 8 months. Two times in the middle of the trunk.

It's a one gallon "Dirt Pot". Just one of the many different fabric pots on the market today. These are 1 & 2 gallon pots, they sell them folded flat like this. They provide "Air Pruning"; which gives you more lateral root growth, and no circling roots.

How unusual !!! They usually flower from the top first ! Is it Adenuim Arabicum?? Adeniums can flower in around 6 months, depends when seeds were sown and if six months seedling get full sun in dry season it will (should) flower as it is afraid that it will die :) usually after 1 year they will start to flower...

It's a "Golden Bell", and did flower at the top when it was about 6 months old, but then; right in succession, it budded twice in the middle.

I am really surprised that some of my 6 month old seedlings that are only 3 or 4 inches tall, look like they /might/ have flower buds on them. I'll wait and see.

You are so lucky to see your 6 month old start flowering. Are you keep your seedlings in under the light during Georgia winter? I grow up in middle of Alabama so winter there gets pretty cold.

Yes, they have been under lights on shelving racks that also get several hours of full sun through south facing windows all winter. But on warm days I simply move them out onto the back deck in full sun in the mornings and more dappled sun in the afternoons. It's been in the 60's to higher 70's (It's about 80 today) much of the past month and they are really putting out new leaves like crazy.

I was under watering them and by mid winter they were loosing leaves and shriveling up, but now are very fat. Mostly obesums but also arabicums and Thai Soccos, etc. I think I need more time to be /sure/ if they are flower buds but they sure look like they might be.
