The artwork is a little too high. You may want to consider something long and skinny rather than square. You could also remove one of the items from the tabletop.

The picture is too high, and the smallish table is overloaded. Simplify!!

If you keep this one, I would just have the vase alone. Lower the picture. What is that round thing under the picture?

it's our thermostat, sadly. That's why the picture was hung so high. So just the vase? That's a cool idea!

For a table this size, I would say 3 items. Maybe remove the item next to the pineapple and place the frame on a short stack of books to give a little more visual interest.

The problem maybe the thermostat (round thing on wall) and it is screwing the visual all up. A longer console table that is beefier but is open back (keeping heat registers clear) would allow for some arrangement that would help hide the tstat but not block its function. I will find some examples for you to re-envision the space. Brb

Here are some longer tables which you seem to have room for. I would do black if you can because it would help the registers disappear. You can also paint the thermostat the color of your walls except for the face.

With a table something like this, you can hide the registers, but keep them open. You can also paint them color of the wall. Then above with a clever arrangement of items you can hide the thermostat. Just don't put a lamp right near it for obvious reasons. The arrangement on this table and then the wall gallery makes for a very interesting look. I would probably pare this down for your space, but you get the idea.

If you happen to have a dining room buffet, it could act as your "table" and you could do something like this. If you don't have an electrical outlet behind where this would go, you can run a light colored extension cord to an available plug nearby and make it disappear into the color of the baseboard. A few discrete "U" nails can keep the cords managed.
