Contact your local grade school. There may be some teachers who would appreciate free craft supplies, for themselves, to use in decorating their classroom, or to use for classroom projects.

When I cleaned out for our move last year, some things went to my contractor's kids, some things went to the local senior center. The needlework books and supplies went to the local branch of the Embroiderer's Guild. And just donate the good stuff, please. The rest is trash. I had tons of trash!

Women's and children's shelters may be able to use them, depending on their size, etc.

Salvation Army, Goodwill, Scouts, Schools?

I agree I would try churches for their camps and Sunday school programs, grade schools or your local thrift shop.
