The doors to this magnificent home were hand crafted by our master carpenter in our wood shop using antique doors the owner purchased from Seret and Sons in Santa Fe. Two individual doors were constructed from one set of double doors. We custom made the jambs, in some places warping the jamb to match the door. Each door was fitted with insulated panels between the stiles and rails and installed Schlegel compression weatherstrip. The door panels for this front door weigh over 300# each. Each door has a floor mounted bearing hinge that can accommodate up to 600# with three alignment hinges to hold the doors nice and straight. The doors, although very heavy, can be opened with ease.
