I've transplanted smaller ones without a problem. The question, of course, is why the ones you transplanted died. If you do it carefully,being sure the soil is light and damp I can't see them dying.

I don't see why you would need to disturb this little plant at this point; it is certainly not too big for its container. Let it be, let it grow and just be careful not to let the small pot dry out too much.

But in future after you separate babies from the mother leaf, try putting them in a baggie or clear container for a while until they can adjust to the change. It really helps.

I think you're right AnneCecilia. I think it's ok in the pot that it's in. It's definitely not too big at all and as long as it keeps growing and new leaves keep popping up, I think it will be fine for now. Thanks for the tip about putting them in a clear container or baggie. I haven't separated them yet, just pulled the mother leaf off from the top cause it was dead. So I haven't moved them at all since I originally planted the mother leaf. I'll just leave it and watch it grow. It's so much fun and exciting when I see another leaf pop up. :) Thanks for the tips.

Just to clarify, what I see growing in this pot is ONE single baby plant, not a group of baby plantlets needing separation. Sometimes one baby is all a mother leaf puts out. This one is trying to form a rosette shape and doing just fine - you can tell because the new leaves are coming from the crown (center.) There is one small juvenile leaf at 11:00 that you will be able to remove someday as it will have served its purpose and will be overshadowed by the more mature leaves that came after, but for now let it be, just keep watching it grow and enjoy!
