Just a baby, but I love it..

It will have Peachy/Pink blooms...dreamy.

    Alsobia dianthiflora is a ground cover -so it will look the best in a shallow wide pot. You just keep pinning new stolons to the soil until the "dish" is full. You can grow it in a hanging basket - then you can let stolons get over the sides AFTER they fill the pot. It blooms nicely - once a year, and it makes an attractive green "lawn" if let to spread.

    X-Codonanthus "Barsoom" is a rare find. It should be grown as a hanging basket on a window with a good light, no direct midday sun though. It is an absolutely lovely plant and it will bloom for you when it matures.

    You can grow both of these plants under fluorescent lights - but you need to watch them - they will try to spread and root in the neighbors pots.

    While your swan is very cute - it is way too small for Alsobia - and I bet it doesn't have a drainage hole. Bluish green leaves of Alsobia work well with the birdie - a combination is good - but I do not expect Alsobia to reach its full potential in it. 'Barsoom' will not suit the bridie planter - it wants to grow long lanky stems - so many of them in a hanging basket will look better.

      You have exceptionally beautiful pots and an artistic eye in all your arrangements.

      The problem I see is that all these pots are too big for the plants you grow - and gesneriads do not grow well if overpotted. My take is - grow them in small cheap ugly pots - like solo cups or Keurig cups - until they reach the size to be put in your exquisite planters.

      I apologize for giving an advice when you are not asking for it. I do not have an artistic eye... but I can see that the plants can do better. xCodonatanthus "Barsoom' is not going to be looking that good in a flat container - but Alsobia will. It will fill it it up in no time because it is a ground cover in a wild. XCodonatanthus is an intergeneric cross between Codonanthe and Nematanthus and both are epiphytes, it wants to hang from a tree.

      I will repot the everything except the one in the small round pot because the plant is in another pot inside this one.

      I have the perfect hanging vintage pot for the Codonatanthus Barsoom....and the Alsobia will be repotted tomorrow too. I have lots & lots of these vintage pots. My favorites are the Roseville Snowberries.

      I have to agree with everything Irina posted, entirely. You have a nice assortment there, Debra! Excellent. I just repotted my alsobia last night myself and wiffle-waffled on which container to put it into. For now I opted for simply bumping it up to a larger, slightly broader pot but as it begins to throw out stolens I am eye balling a nice wide flat tray I originally had filled with epsicia Pink Smoke. I saw a photo posted on the net last night of alsobia planted like that rather than in a hanging basket and smothered with flowers, it was simply beautiful. It had formed a nice green mat just like it would in nature. I am considering moving it to my 75 gallon terrarium when I replant it soon but am concerned it may try to take over, haha.

      Sounds beautiful Hyn.

      I planted mine in a smallish low & long ceramic hanging planter...perfect...I drilled 3 holes...I put it in a west window...we'll see how it goes.

      And repotted the Cod too. right now it escapes me what I planted it in...I've been doing lots of repotting.
