Some rose hips don't redden that much. What did the seeds look like, were they brown or brownish, indicating maturity?

Its possible. some hips stay green even when mature. If you look at the sepals and they are dry and falling off or even gone the seeds should be mature.

I have seen floribunda roses sprout new leaves in my garden from the bottom of the hips tho. So. Dont u think it's a possibility?

I will try anything. After all these years i still dont know everything. EspEspecially all rooting techniques. Ill report in the fall.
