I got their victory twister and it was a surprisingly good unit for its price. Came with a 5 year warranty and their customer service is pretty good too.

Me too! Trying to decide between a Victory PS-17 under-cab hood and a Broan Elite Alta 430. Would love your feedback on the Victory model you bought.

I received it but haven't had it installed it so will comment once I do :) Looks nice though!

Yes we love it! We have had it in for a few plus years now and it has worked great. We have the in cabinet model installed and vented out the wall. Easy to clean grates, and I love the simplicity of the knob controls for lights and fan. Anyone can easily operate it.

it works very well but is SUPER loud. like every level is loud. I don't know if any other 900 CFM hood would be any quieter though

It works well, have it installed from over a month. its loud but compared to our microwave hood combo, it is way quieter. we really love the look and feel of it

Thanks guys for your updates! @beka you may need to install a damper - it’s an additional item but if you don’t already have it, it should help w the noise!

@kooks kooky i thought the damper was to prevent cold air loss? and a silencer would help with the noise, no? the more i read, the more confused i get. haha

Dampers at the roof and at the hood help trap cold air and prevent wind gusts from pushing cold air back into the kitchen. Dampers should be fully open when operating the blower, so noise suppression, if any, would be minimal.

A silencer attenuates the higher frequency components of blower blade tip turbulence noise, and that from turbulent air passing through the ducting between the silencer and the blower.
