I agree with T.J. You are not giving any info that helps us help you. Still, most fireplace walls are made of stone, brick or tile because it's fireproof. Here are a few with wood above the obligate stone, etc.

I like stacked stones, that vary in color from grey, to a brownish tint. My cottage has that and it looks great.
