They could be scale insects but it is hard to tell from the pic. You can google it and compare. If so, they are a real pain on edibles with no easy fix, but many different strategies for control. Good growing conditions outdoors and they should be less problematic though.

Several things going on: eggs, frass, possible mosaic virus, and the yellow bugs could be aphids or leafhopper nymphs.

Thanks for your insight. Might be scales, definitely frass, not sure about mosaic virus though, the new leaves does not look affected. I wiped the leaves off with some dawn soap and will monitor it closely. Any suggestions on insecticide soaps/sprays?
