Florida Fig Transplant

last modified: 9 years ago

Hello all - I've had a turkey fig in the ground transplanted from a 2 gal pot since October. It was small and root bound a little.. It seems the spot it's in would do better as a bed of veggies...and I'm wondering if it's not too late to move it again? I really don't want to kill it and it seems like it's just about to take off. Right now it's basically a 1.5'x1.5' cube of leaves with no real height...Wanting to move it over about 8 feet from where it's at....Should I let it go - or could I get away with moving it? It's real healthy at the moment and I'm pretty excited to see it grow this summer season with all the rain...

I'm worried it's already sent feeder roots down to look for ground water....
