Design Dilemma Hall

Is this rug too big for my entry hall???

I'm clearly clueless -- is this rug too big for my entry hall??? It is 5 X 7. My husband says "too big". Ugh.

Yes, it is! The rug should be small enough to be placed in front of the inside of the entry door. It looks like a smaller, round rug would work much better in the space.

Haha, I love how your dog looks to be evaluating it in the second photo.

I would say a little too big.......I like more floor space between the edge of the rug and the walkway for the stairs. It looks like the edge and/or the corner of the rug could get tripped on going up the steps. Visually, I don't care for the rug to be that close to the stairs, either.

Maybe a tad big, but I like the rug. I like my area rugs to be the size of the entry which includes any side windows as well.
