Question about fit

I just re did my fireplace and was told I should have all the stone work done first then measure for a door. The guy also said I would need an inside fit door. Would this be one that I can use for a stacked stone fireplace?

This door is overlap fit but stone could be built up to it for an inside look. It would be fine to use for stack stone as the frame is about 1" deep or so. Hope that helps.
