I always chuckle when I see the tags with the picture of the flowers on them. I think the picture is there to inspire the plant to bloom. ;-)

Thanks Lydia and Laura. My father in law rebuilt the pergola for us. It has made a real difference to my plants. Not only do they not burn because of the gap, they seem to be growing a lot more strongly under the beige shade cloth as opposed to the old green stuff.

Hey Adam! I found a tiny peduncle on my sweetheart today! I've only had it for maybe a year or less and it was the same size as yours so it looks to be an early bloomer! Not like carnosa at all, lol.

My KQ is like a zombie. I bought it maybe 6 years ago? and neglected it. It is full of wrinkly, leathery, manky sunburned leaves. Since I've started actually being nice to it and cutting off all the plain white growth it's starting to look nice again. Has the most amazingly bright magenta new leaves. I can shamefully say that I don't deserve to get flowers from it after all the torture and neglect I put it through...
