Sorry for the super delayed response! I was the designer and original owner of the house. I never get notifications for these questions. It has been so long that I can't remember the exact specifications. I designed the cabinets and the entire kitchen myself. I had them custom made by Mission Cabinets in Arroyo Grande, CA, but they are no longer in business. They ordered their product (which they customized) from a different business (it was out-of-state and maybe in Canada, but I'm not sure). There were wood samples in their showroom with one blue cabinet with "Pickling," a sort of whitewash treatment. I told him I wanted that, but without the pickling so that it was a clear blue stain. I don't recall there being a "Name" for the blue other than "Blue." I apologize I can't provide more useful info; I tried to look up the cabinet maker, but since they retired (likely, since it was an older gentleman) or went out of business there was no info. to be found.

Regarding my delayed response and not getting notifications: It's because this was posted by Houzz and not by me nor the architect (my husband). There was no link back to my or his accounts, so there was no way of knowing that these questions/comments existed. If Houzz would've given us credit (other than a "Trendy house in San Luis Obispo" then you all would've known who to contact. By the way, this wasn't at all a "Trendy" house when we designed it in 2005-2006. In fact, it was difficult to source all the exact materials and contractors to make our custom designs, because they had never built designs like ours or worked with the exact materials or material combinations we wanted. More often than not they tried to talk us out of our designs and choice of materials so they could work with what they were familiar.
