Nicely done, Bev. What size did it end up being?

It's 60 x80, roughly. I think by added the extra border piece on two sides would make it 62x82. People tend to send smaller blankets for donations to the ministry and the director, Moussa, asked if we could make larger quilts. I think this will be a good size. Moussa has started schools in the country and I believe has about 1000 children. Kids that have sponsors receive a bag of food (rice?) once a month and a blanket when available to take home to the family. The oldest girl from the first children's home has gone on to college.

That's a good sized quilt Bev. They have got to be proud of the gal who went on to college. The school we sponsor in Haiti makes sure the kids get at least one meal daily, school supplies when school starts and a big Christmas party with each kid receiving something from their individual sponsors. I've sent a few light weight quilts over the years.

Yes, all the big squares have lady bugs in them. A woman from church gave me a bag of scraps and one of the ladies, Barbara, from this site sent me more fabric to complete the theme.

Here's the back. Trying to use what I had. It looks better in real life. The green is small leaves.

Good job on the backing, Bev. I'm thinking about piecing some backs and possibly using some orphan blocks as spacers......at least I want to try it. :-)
