Can this handle a clawfoot tub sitting on top of it?

We are installing a fireclay clawfoot tub and like this tile for the master bath floor but are concerned of the weight of the tub on it, can it handle it?

    Hi Colette,

Thanks for your question! This tile has a break strength of 250 lbs., which refers to the amount of pressure it can withstand on a single pressure point (not including the substrate it is installed on or the thinset used to install). That means, it should be able to withstand the weight of a claw-foot tub. We would recommend contacting a contractor so they can make sure your subfloor and joists are structurally sound before installation because the combined weight of bathtub, water, and presumably person can add up.
