Yes, they go dormant for at least a little while. Keep watering to an absolute minimum while they sleep. It should 'wake up' pretty soon now.

many thanks... I didn't realize they go dormant... I have a couple of led lights... I'm going to hang one over it, n try n give it a head start...

As previously posted it sounds like dormancy. If you have a heat mat or seed starter mat consider using it to warm up the planting media from the bottom up.

thanks.. I do have a mat which I just plugged in.. between the mat n the led light, i'll have flowers b4 long... at least that's my hope...

I brought out my plant and its now in full sun... something red and very small is coming from the top of the plant.. its been there for about 10day, but it does not seem to be growing. here in ny we so far have had a cool spring, and nitetime temps have been around 50. it is starting to warm up... the plant is still solid, no mush=iness .. is the top growth means it breaking dormancy ???

It's more important that the roots get warm to wake out of dormancy. When the roots fully wake up, then you'll see leaves start to appear. Until then, light on the top is useless.
