Ugh maddielee, having a hard time finding one that doesn't look like laundry! The one this is replacing was an orange plastic toy bucket...so an improvement ;)

I'd use whatever you want or fits your needs, then move the chair toward the table to conceal it if it's overflowing/looking like laundry.

What about a small storage ottoman? They have them everywhere, it can also be used as seating or an ottoman.

I have a padded lid small storage ottoman...lid is hinged and that is where our afgans are. We use the ottoman as a coffee table, a foot stool or a place to sit when playing games...best purchase I ever made. I like your basket also but I think it should be larger and used as part of your decor...not hidden away.

Since you're not using it for laundry, it doesn't say laundry. It says, "Cool basket in LR for storage."

Erinsean...we used to have an ottoman like that when ds was really small and we put our teak table away temporarily. We love our coffee table and use it a lot for puzzles and stuff. Thanks for the idea!

Ida, that looks wonderful. However, you being a cat person too -- do yours try to curl up in your basket? I'm afraid mine would, which would be a no go.

artemis - They have never tried to climb into the Bolga basket, but I think that's because they just haven't thought of it. Their bed is nearby, and they seem to prefer fighting it over it most of time. Which reminds me - I believe the heated bed DH ordered for them should arrive today. Oh boy, I can't wait for the hissing and swatting to commence! We have a heated bed for them upstairs, and they love that thing. Figured they "needed" one downstairs as well. Silly (spoiled) cats.

Looks good. If anything I think you could go larger with that size room.
