need help with countertop selections

I have existing honey oak cabinets being painted off white with rubbed corners (worn look). honey color shows where rubbed. Using this tile Marazzi "Archeology" modular deisgn. Should the granite (or cambria) be monotone or is it ok to have movement? Darker or lighter color? wife likes some blue in the tops? Would that be smart?

We'd like to see a photo of the tile you're using. Is the room filled with daylight or does it seem slightly dark in the daytime? Certainly with the finish you're using on your cabinets, you should be able to use a granite with movement, depending on your tile. And I don't know whether the tile you mentioned is on the floor or something you're considering for the backsplash. Is there an island? Same cabinet finish?
