In a word? JUNK. It won't last 18 months unless you never sit. Spring down cushions are meaningless on a cheap frame with no real support. To get a decent sofa to last five or ten years? Consider Hickory Chair, or Taylor King, or at least CR Laine.

I'm not familiar with that..We bought our sectional from Ligne Roset,,,it was pricey, but we've had it for 10 years, kids and all, and it looks like new,,No sagging, no look of wear and tear

We had Bassett make a custom sofa for us about 5 years ago. It looks great. It wasn't inexpensive, but we think it was well worth it.

Were you happy with your leather sofa from Ethan Allen?

$3000 will get you a middle of the road sofa. Ethan Allen, CR Laine, Lazy Boy are reasonable. Ligne Roset, Hickory, etc. will be way over your budget.

Rachel, we are happy with the coach but it is very stiff and not comfy to curl up on. We are also replacing 2 chairs as well that fabric is wearing and these don't have cushions. Very uncomfortable to sit on long term if watching a movie.

lcswilcox195kw. we looked at Lazy boy Tribeca for a different silhouette but wasn't sure on how the quality was after reading some reviews. I also will be checking out Ethan Allen because we have furnished the majority of our house with them and own a sectional in our basement but was looking for options and saw the Bernhardt on sale at a local store. I had a designer come out to measure and she did say it was on the low end for them and they had other options but they seemed to like this revamped sofa group. Lots of decisions.

Bernhardt - probably made in China

We've had our Bernhardt sofa for almost 4 years. We live on this sofa, as we only have one living area and two teens -- and we entertain all the time, too. It has held up beautifully. I shopped for over a year and had a budget comparable to yours. I am very happy with my choice!

For your price range look at Sherrill and Henredon. Many beautiful sofas, and both have custom programs too.

Ethan Allen has a lot of options not only in sofas but also in cushions. Maybe you want to look at a softer cushion but then you can still get a great quality piece as it looks like your pieces have held up great over the years.

We just left Ethan Allen and it was interesting to see all the changes that they have made. Getting away from 8 way hand tied to sinuous spring and spring foam down. Common in this price range.

We bought a Bernhardt chair and ottoman 2 years ago and can't wait to get rid of it! Back cushion is a total mess... not impressed.

To change the subject a little, because you said that the sofa you are replacing is stiff and not comfy, have you consulted a professional upholsterer about changing out the cushion filling so something not so stiff? It could be that the filling has disintegrated and that it could be made more comfortable for less money than a new sofa.
