As you say it is hard to id from the shrivelled leaves. I am afraid that it wasn't a great idea to cut all the leaves off. A lot of them look as if they might have revived if well watered. However, too late now. As far as I can tell it isn't Hedera helix, Ivy, but it is some other kind of vine. Possibly a Jasminum or Trachelospermum. This forum is very slow. Maybe try the Houseplant Forum or the Name That Plant Forum.
