I do not see an accent stripe in the photo attached?

I see the accent stripe. Unfortunately this happened to my sister's new shower also. I didn't do the accent because my tile salesperson said it was a waste in a shower. Don't know what you can without spending a lot more money.

Who designed the the shower tile layout? To be honest I see no point in accent strips with a framed shower door the

top of the door and the horizontal strip always compete with each other . At this stage probably the easiest is to go frameless door if you can but the door is already attached to the tile on the walls

ok took me a few minutes to see the stripe ...it's hard to see. I would definitely do frameless shower doors to show off all that pretty tile work. Will give the room a more upscale look too.

Responsibility for a design belongs to the designer. Faithful oversight of the execution of that design is the responsibility of the general contractor, who instructs the installers.

Who chose the shower door and who gave the tile setter instructions on where to set the accent row? Did the tile installer countermand specific instructions about where to install the accent row? Unless the design creates a functional or code issue, the installer and GC have to assume that that's what you and the designer want.

I agree with the previous replies that frameless glass would have been the correct choice, and would be the best fix now. I'd go taller, too, to completely clear the accent row, and give you a much more upscale look.

I would just go frameless. Looks more high end. Oh yes and go taller like kchreg said!

Don't be upset with me but I guess I am the odd man out, I think you are stressing over it to much. It is a beautiful shower and I am sure the overall project is wonderful. If you can change it by getting the frameless doors and it will make you happier, than by all means do it but if not, try and let it go. It is pretty as is, I just don't think in the scheme of things of things it is that bad. Just my opinion.
