Final bathroom decisions...

Thank you for all the help so far. It has really helped me with my list and decisions!

Current Bathroom:

Turns out the contractor had a delay. so they will be coming sometime this week.

things decided:

Tile (for shower walls, shower floor, floor, around tub):

Keeping the white tub.

New Toilet ordered - nothing too fancy, white.

Ordered shower and tub hardware from Delta in venetian Bronze. Decided to go with their corner shower shelf with grab bar.

I have been to a few vanity places. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a vanity, sinks, counter and medicine cabinet I like for under about 10k total I estimate. Not in the budget now. Would love to wait on this remodel but the shower started leaking about 2 months after we moved in. :(

So I am going with Ikea for now figuring we can replace later if we want to. (about 1k for two cabinets with sinks/counters and medicine cabinets)

I like the vanity and the medicine cabinets. I can't decide between this counter/sink combo which has a small back or the flat one that is a bit thicker that they sell. Any opinions?

flat counter:

I don't know why, but I like this kind of faucet. Is it dated already?

I am actually starting to get excited about this so now I am looking at little things too. I have a spot next to one of the cabinets that would fit this shelf, too matchy?

I kind of like these towels too:

What do you think of these lights or something like them, and any idea how to find them:

My kid LOVE this tub, and I would like to get a bench to put under the window what do you think of this one? would it clash with the window trim? Too rustic?

I like your selections except for the faucet. It seems a little "country" to me. I think I would use the vanity that has the small back on the countertop. It provides a little protection from water without adding another element for a backsplash.

I have the light that like in my powder room. It is a Kichler light. Kichler Light

I bought mine at a local discount lighting store but I have seen it at some big box stores. It is readily available on line. It also comes in a 3 and 4 light version

Here's a night time shot of the light in my powder room

I like everything except the country style faucet and the dark floor tile for the shower wall. I like the wall tile in the IKEA vanity/towel picture for the shower tile. Or, this tile on the shower wall...with black, dark gray or dark brown grout.

    I like both vanity tops.

OK I had a feeling the faucet wasn't working :) I wish Ikea had more than just chrome faucets. this one matches the shower/bath items. It just seems a bit high to me:

justerrilynn I spent about a 4-5 weeks going to tile stores. I would have loved to do white tile walls and then the dark floors and and dark shower floor. DH did not like it at all. I went through many inspirations pictures that started from this:

and ended at this(ish) ( i was looking at vanities like this)

Badgergal - thank you - I love that light and it looks fabulous in your room.

You have a lot of natural light, like your arts and craft inspiration and the shower seems to be tiled on only two walls, I think the tile in the shower will work. I think it helps tie your wood trim and nature setting very well, ie it fits your house nicely.

i like the taps that justerrilyn posted with your sink. I like the practicality of the backsplash sink best.

    You are getting close ;).

Sorry Boo, it's just that I think the modern sink cabinet is at odds with doing the full dark arts & crafts style tiled shower. I love that tile for the floor and shower floor though. So practical with having a floor that doesn't show every little thing.

If you don't like the one I posted above, something like this would tie it all in.

Maybe that arts and craft picture is giving the wrong vibe. here are two more. I think that the slate can read modern....

the floor will be 12/24 tiles

the shower tile floor will be 2x2 tiles of the same colorway:

DH was adamant about stone (look) on the walls, and I don't like when the shower floor is different than the main floor. So that is how we ended up with what we ended up with :) the tile has been ordered and paid for. I have the shower and bathtub faucets.

the Ikea stuff DH can go get Monday or Tuesday. I would like to order the sink faucets today.

the bench can wait, but i really want one given how often the kids bathe in that tub! :)

that is amazing Roarah! I like it a lot, and now that the kids homework is done I am going to keep looking for a faucet! I agree that the faucet I picked reads a bit more country/farmhouse look than modernish. and I dont love the one that matches the tub, but I like matchy things, so I need to look some more.

Here it is with your accessories. I can not get the lights right but if you find a stock pic of ones you like I can quickly photo shop them for you.

Shoot - I dont know how that picture ended up first but now I can't seem to move it!

I feel like this is finally coming together. I am really looking forward to this now! Thank you for the millionth time Roarah!!!!! I like how things are shaping up.

What do you think of the bench Roarah ( although I know you don't like giving opinions :)

I had a few other alternatives for benches, but I liked that this one had storage. Of course my favorite was one from designwithin reach but it was not within my reach :)

Here are some faucets I found:

some other benches I was looking at:

I love the bench with your tiles and I feel it will be far enough away from the sinks that it does not need to be matchy matchy, but I have a mix of dark wood furniture and white stained furniture in my masterbath so I like eclectic decorating. Here are the lights. I think it is the photoshopping that makes it not work here for the metals are off in my picture but IRL they are probably the same I will work on putting just a vanity image with your new choices together now. Oops put pic on top sorry.

Yes Boo I think that particular picture was giving a weird vibe. Like Roarahs mockup. Also like the first bench above.

Oh I might like this bench better and I do like these taps a lot too.

I do not like this tap nor bench as much as the others. This bench brings out the rust in the tiles more where as the other ones accent the greys, black and greens more but YMMV.

When you get closer to painting options let me know. I know you wanted to try white so that is why the background is white now but I can add any paint swatch you have to the background later if you decide not to use white...

thank you roarah - I do like the white walls! I like the same taps so that is awesome, I can order them. I am torn on the bench. I like the storage, but I agree, I actually think the other looks better. I have to show DH, he is sick and sleeping. He needs to get better soon to put the vanities together! :)

I think I like the lights, but I am going to keep looking a bit to see what else there is. (of course) :)

I like the cabinets without the back counter. I actually really like the cabinets you picked from ikea. I think the first bench looks the best. I dont think these go with your selections but did you see how cute that cabinet is in white and grey?

And they have a bigger one:

I like them too rockybird , and I dont really feel like I am settling too much :) so hopefully that means We wont have to replace them. I have never had two vanities in a master, so that should be interesting. :)

Do you mean the chest/bench? of course that is sold out on overstock so I have had to find it elsewhere now!

Here are some more lights. of course my favorite is the $1000 one which is out of scope

I look at that wicker bench and that storage tower and all I can think of is, what a pain to dust! I'd get a closed storage tower and no wicker in the bath.

I really like all your choices, except the storage tower ;) Of the benches, I prefer the second but appreciate the first is better for storage! I also think the the Ikea vanities are really nice.
