Good growing!

How exciting! My little mathilde has one too :D

Yes! Im so looking forward to all of them!

Has anyone had peduncles stop blooming on them once they reach a certain size? All the peduncles on senior carnosa that have built up about an inch in length (past bloom leftover stuff) do not produce for me. Hmm

It happens to the best of us. With no warning or isdue. Frustrating, to say the least.

Do hoyas have (don't laugh!) "practice peduncles"? I've noticed that the first one or two a plant grows doesn't seem to get anywhere. They stay small and never develop into bud stage. It's like the plant is figuring out this whole growing flowers thing.

Don't laugh...I'm pretty sure they do! I have only had three hoyas bloom on first try on a brand new peduncle (fungii, ilagiorum and hellwigiana). The rest of mine seem to abort the first 1 or 3 tries. If I receive a plant or cutting that has peduncles that have obviously bloomed before (big 'ol microphones), they may abort the first time, especially if I received them in bud, in my climate, but usually, they just mature to bloom.

Well thats... discouraging :(

I'm determined to see these first peduncles through to bloom especially on Erythrostemma. Maybe if I stare at it just long enough... lol

Lol! You never know! Maybe they will! Crossing fingers for you!

There is something growing on my erythrina.... :O Too small to tell if it's a new vine or a peduncle but it's growing from a new vine where a peduncle would be.

wtg. congratulations. I guess you stared at it enough ;-)

Lol! I guess so :D
