I'm sure typically they are sold only to the trade. Many Visual comfort lights are sold on OKL- which are trade or retail stores only.

If a designer offers you to buy a detail from the picture it is a service that will not cost the client a penny extra, but the designer gets a very small proportion of the sale which is well deserved. vas711, is this good enough for you to understand the situation before you throw out accusations on being self absorbed?

Thanks to all who gave the source for the lights- they only take a 40 watt bulb and are not dimmable- that is way too low of a wattage for above an island where usually lots of food prep happens- too bad as we love the look of them. Also being dimmable is really important in our house - all our lights are dimmable.

Katheryn I was going to say the same thing. What a shame they are only 40 watts, so gorgeous!

using a bright LED would be far less than 40 watts - that way you would have enough light for kitchen work
